The focus will be teaching the players proper techniques for giving and receiving checks safely and effectively. Emphasizing player safety, positioning, and physicality while ensuring that they players develop confidence in contact situations. Key focuses on angling & gap control, body contact progression, shoulder & hip checks, follow-through & balance.

Sound. Smart. Safe. Training that works. Utilizing an individualized approach in a semi private environment, our staff has helped develop elite juniors, Olympians, All-Stars, and Grand Slam winners. Our training “embraces the process” and targets the individual needs of each athlete.



​As the Director of Sports Performance at Saddlebrook for the past nine years, Chris May has been instrumental in developing elite athletes across tennis, football, baseball, hockey, and golf. With over 15 years of professional training experience, he takes a scientific approach to performance, prioritizing athleticism as the foundation for sport-specific success. A former collegiate and professional football player, Chris holds a degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Titleist Performance Institute certified, and a USAW Level 1 Coach.
